The number one pressure point for law firm rate setting is modern consumers’ demands for lower prices and more streamlined service provision. Legal consumers in 2019 are less willing to accept traditional hourly billing rates, which are uncapped. Modern legal consumers are desirous of greater price certainty, and law firm have struggled to retain clients in an environment where the risk of rate setting continually shifts to the attorney. In this session, we’ll discussion how law firms can create a pricing environment that better answers for the requirements of modern legal consumers, while also protecting the law firm’s interests.
