How Executives Drive Change Through Managing Performance

The step-by-step process for managing performance and coaching effectively

9-10 May 2017
NBC TOWER | Chicago, IL, United States of America

Why You Should Attend

How Executives Drive Change Through Managing Performance

This course is highly interactive with the practice of coaching processes applicable to most situations encountered in managing the performance of direct reports.  The attendees will learn skills applicable to difficult situations and difficult people including how to promote positive behavior, build upon areas of agreement, letting people go when it is not a good “job fit” as well as how to coach “up” (influencing upwards) and sideways (facilitative coaching when power is equal).  Beyond coaching employees, executives need unique leadership skills for the challenges faced in the workplace. Participants practice diffusing difficult emotions, changing their own and others’ behavior, and setting measurable goals to determine which areas need development, and ultimately, which coaching process to use.

    Voice of Our Customers
    • “I attended the How to Effectively Run Meetings training taught by Dr. Joan Pastor. The two-day training was intensive and simply excellent. Joan has a way of delivering difficult concepts in a simplified manner which is easily retained mentally. I plan to incorporate some of her concepts immediately. Once again, the training was great!” Jarvis W. Clarke Supervisor Chevron Corporation
    • “I would like to support that Joan’s people skill courses are excellent and very well received. I used Joan at three different Fortune 500 companies for the people skill training, and the staff loved the courses. Also, at each of the companies, the staff requested additional courses by Joan.” Robert Brewer Senior Vice President Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Audit Executive Office Depot
    • “Joan’s presentation on the link between Leadership and Emotional Intelligence was absolutely fabulous! And I heard many others say that, too. She had all 350+ attendees listening to her every word. Joan is extremely informative, interesting, engaging, and funny! Her topic was one that everyone related to and she tailored it perfectly for our audience. I highly recommend Joan! We will definitely be using her again!” Gail Peters, Executive Director Washington University
