Process Safety Management for the Food and Beverage Industry

Implement New Regulatory Guidance for Worker Safety and Facility Improvement

8-9 Jun 2017
NBC TOWER | Chicago, IL, United States of America

Why You Should Attend

Process Safety Management for the Food and Beverage Industry

This course is designed for people who oversee process safety management (PSM) and risk management programs (RMP) for ammonia refrigeration processes. These important safety programs are designed to help facilities prevent accidents, injuries and significant damage from catastrophic chemical releases. The rules apply to a wide variety of chemical processes, so the requirements include a lot of general, performance-oriented language. Therefore, facilities often struggle understanding practical ways to design a compliant program for a specific process.  This course will help people identify strategies and tools that help ammonia refrigeration facilities implement successful programs.

Key Topics

  • Overview of PSM/RMP Requirements
  • What’s New? Overview of Proposed Changes
  • In-depth Review of Typical Obstacles and Applicable Requirements
  • Indentify Strategies and Tools to Overcome Typical Obstacles
  • Leveraging PSM/RMP to Provide Value Beyond Regulatory Compliance
